A reflection . . . .
Saints were prepared to live and die for their faith, attemting to convert unwilling and aggressive people to Christianity, providing a dramatic and everlasting effect on society.
Each saint led an exemplary life, inspired by their faith in God through Christ. Their legacy is preserved by using saints' particular symbols within professions, occupations and by adoption in different countries. For many the lives of patron saints provide comfort, hope and inspiration, and are still important figues today.
